ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of collagen line in the tension-free suture of the incision of oral implant and the effect on the healing time of the wound. Methods 100 patients were selected from January 2016 to January 2017 for repair of dental implant in Zhong Hua Dental clinic of Jinghong city, and they were randomly divided into control group and study group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with non absorbable sutures of silk suture wounds, while the study group using collagen suture wounds, then we compared two groups of patients with wound healing grade, suture line absorption, wound healing time and formation rate. Results The research group of grade A healing rate was 96%, significantly higher than 80% in the control group (P<0.05), and the adverse reactions of the study group was 6%, lower than 20% in the control group (P<0.05);the complete absorption rate and smooth incision rates in the study group for suture in different times were 84%, 96% 100%, and 86%, which were significantly higher than the control group's 62%, 78%, 80% and 68% (P< 0.05) . The wound's healing time and postoperative VAS score of 3 d, 5 d and 7 d were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05) . Conclusion Collagen line in oral implant surgery incision tension-free suture of wound healing and postoperative recovery is significantly better than that of silk and non absorbable sutures, and collagen can be degradated orally, which effectively improves the wound healing of patients with grades and wound flat rate, and effectively accelerates wound healing, with the value of application.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo explore the relevance between the expression of C-MYC gene and protein of patients with T lymphoblastic lymphoma and leukemia(T-LBL/ALL) and its effect on the prognosis.

METHODSParaffin specimens from 60 cases of T-LBL/ALL with detailed follow-up during May 2005 to May 2016 were selected as study group; at same time 20 cases of reactive hyperplasia (RH) of lymphonuedes were selected as control group. The immunohistochemical EnVision method was used to mark the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TDT), myeloperoxidase (MPO), Ki-67 and C-MYC immune tissue.

RESULTSC-MYC gene rupture and copy number increase did not occur in 20 cases of RH.The expression of C-MYC protein did not correlate with C-MYC gene copy number increase. The expression rate of C-MYC protein was 66.7% (40/60), and 20 cases of lymph node RH was all negative (0/20), as compared with the positive expression rate of protein C-MYC, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The Ki-67 positive index and mediastinal bloadening had influence on the expression of C-MYC protein (P<0.05), the sex, primary site, symptoms, age, AnnArbor stage and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) level and bone marrow involvement have no influence on it, there was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05). The 8q24 chromosome breakage occurred in 6 cases (10%), and the number of copies increased in 11 cases (18.3%). C-MYC gene copy number increase and C-MYC gene rupture in a total 20 cases of reactive hyperplasia of lymph nodes did not occur.

CONCLUSIONC-MYC gene may play an important role on the development of T-LBL/ALL. It can be an independent prognosis factor.

ABSTRACT

Up to December of 2011, the domestic and overseas literatures of acupuncture for smoking cessation are searched and collected through Pubmed, CNKI, Wanfang and Chongqing VIP databases, which are analyzed from treatment method, action mechanism, influencing factors of efficacy and efficacy evaluation research and so on. The result shows that (1) acupuncture has positive effect on smoking cessation, and large clinical trials has been carried out. However, most of them are needling methods and the short-term effect observation, which lack of long-term efficacy research of withdrawal symptoms, especially continuous withdrawal symptoms and index of life quality. (2) Because of unified clinical treatment, manipulation standard and curative effect criteria, it is difficult to make comparison among them. (3) The study of mechanism on acupuncture for smoking cessation is not of in-depth. In future, clinical research project of acupuncture on smoking cessation should be optimized and regulated, including the unified treatment, manipulation standard and curative effect criteria, also long-term researches with large-scale samples should be launched to confirm effect ofacupuncture for smoking cessation to further discuss its action mechanism.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo explore the dynamic changes of serum interleukin-6 (IL-6) and IL-8 in acute traumatic brain injury (TBI) and their correlations to the severity of brain injury and the condition of the patients.

METHODSThirty-four patients with acute TBI were divided into two groups according to the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score, clinical manifestations and the imaging data, namely patients with GCS score < or = 8 and those with GCS score between 9 and 12. Radioimmunoassay was employed to determine the serum levels of IL-6 and IL-8 at 6 different time points within 15 days after the injury in the two groups.

RESULTSThe serum IL-6 reached the peak level on the second day after the injury in patients with GCS score < or = 8 and on the 7th day in patients with GCS score of 9-12, showing significant differences in IL-6 variations between the two groups (P=0.046). The peak serum level of IL-8 occurred on the 7th day in patients with GCS score < or = 8 and on the 3rd day in patients with GCS score of 9-12, also showing significant differences (P=0.045). The peak level of IL-6 on the second day after the injury was significantly higher than the peak level of IL-8 that occurred on the 7th day, demonstrating significant differences in the variations of IL-6 and IL-8 after the injury (P=0.000).

CONCLUSIONThe changes of serum IL-6 and IL-8 levels show positive correlations to the severity of the condition of the patients sustaining TBI. IL-6 variation is more obvious than that of IL-8 without intimate correlations between them. Clinically, serum IL-6 level can be more informative than serum IL-8 level in evaluating the changes of the condition of the TBI patients in early stage following the injury.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo study the temporal trend and spatial distribution of premature mortality burden due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in terms of years of life lost (YLL) in an urban region of Kunming for the years 1998-2003.

METHODSPan Long district was selected as the study region. YLL was used to measure premature mortality burden due to COPD. The tate of YLL per 1000 residents was calculated without age-weighting but with 3% discounting rate and broken down by year. Geographic information system (GIS) technique was used to display the spatial distribution of premature mortality burden due to COPD during the six years of study.

RESULTSDuring the years from 1998 to 2003, the premature mortality burden due to COPD decreased by years while males seemed to have a higher YLL rate of COPD than females. Central areas remained to have higher YLL/1000 population values of COPD for the six years, whereas remote areas tended to have a decreasing trend of YLL/1000 population values of COPD in the same period.

CONCLUSIONCentral areas of the city should be emphasized in further control of COPD in the urban region of Kunming.

ABSTRACT

The microbial community structure of 4 kinds of sponges in South China Sea were revealed using culture-independent PCR- DGGE gene fingerprint technique as well as the mixed culturable microorganism. The relationship between the culturable and un-culturable microorganism was studied based on the different fingerprint profile. It was found that there is host specificity for microorganism in different sponges from the same marine area. Culture condition such as medium is an important factor for sponge-associated microbial cultivation and the culturable microorganism amount to only a little part of the total sponge-associated microorganisms.

ABSTRACT

In this paper, the bacterial community structure in the gills and intestines of Penaeus chinensis and Metapenaeus ensis were investigated using a culture-independent method of 16S rDNA PCR-DGGE fingerprinting. It was proved that there are abundant and various bacteria in the gills and intestines of these prawns. The bacterial community in the gills and intestines of the same prawn or different kinds of prawns were obviously different based on the clustering analysis of DGGE fingerprints. On the other hand, the same bacteria were found in different kinds of prawns. This was the first time to aim to set up a method to reveal the bacterial community in prawn based on 16S rDNA PCR-DGGE fingerprinting which is of great value for the studies of the relationship between prawn and environmental microorganism as well as the related diseases.
